The menu

Every scoop, sundae, and shake can be any flavor on the counter. The café pours espresso and tea, with pastries baked in-house.

Mix flavors in a two- or three-scoop cup or cone.
Pints and quarts are hand-packed to go.

Bev started it. Erin and Connor keep it going.

Beverly trained at the Culinary Institute of America and ran ice cream shops in Lenox, Massachusetts, and in Connecticut. She followed one of her children to Virginia, found almost no New England-style ice cream here, and opened on West Cary Street in 1998.

In December 2021 she handed the shop to Erin, who had scooped here through college at VCU, and Erin’s brother Connor. They remodeled the room, kept every recipe, and put the ice cream on wheels.

Bev passed away in June 2025. The ice cream is still made her way.
